As passionate speakers, keynote speakers (and untalented scribblers), we went all in on video and have been producing video content from day one of our startup (even before we started our own business, we captured travel and sporting events on tape and used them for ourselves).

When it comes to video, we take advantage of Maike's affinity for video and talent for filming and editing, and Lilli's penchant for being in front of the camera and inviting great guests (like Alexander Sixt).

What used to be our hobby is now part of our marketing, branding and sales strategy. 

In the early years of MaLish, we painstakingly shot videos and edited them together in post-production.

Today we use live tools and big platforms like LinkedIn and YouTube to spread our message. We were one of the first LinkedIn Liver in Germany (at that time still with complicated application and approval) and today we stream via our 3 profiles

What is LinkedIn live?

LinkedIn Live Video allows approved members and company pages to stream live video content to the LinkedIn audience.

The access has to be unlocked separately and is therefore only used by content creators and not the masses.

Maike, Lilli and MaL!sh have been video creators on LinkedIn since the beginning and regularly go live from their personal as well as their company page. 

Why is LinkedIn Live better than any other streaming platform?

From our point of view, there are many arguments in favor of this.
 
  1. LinkedIn is a professional business platform - nowhere is business better placed.
  2. Every Live is an event: you can invite people to watch as a guest, you can transfer the appointment to your own (outlook-) calendar and at the beginning of the Live all people will be informed automatically via messages.
  3. The live is available as a recording afterwards and attracts further interested parties and potential customers.
  4. Not every user can simply "stream on it", therefore it is still a very exclusive tool and means expert status. 

Where to be a guest?

This does not even need to be specified at this point.
We have, as I said, the possibility to stream via Maike, Lilli or Malish.

We personally have many times more followers compared to the corporate side, this can already be an indication. 

How can I prepare?

Most Lives are quite spontaneous and live from the discussion - also with live viewers, who can comment and ask questions.
In the preliminary talk we clarify all the questions 

What happens after the pre-meeting?

If we agree on a date and theme, then we need next:

  1. one or two photos
  2. a bio / curriculum vitae
  3. a text what the Live should be about
  4. your commitment to promote the live (we will provide you with instructions)
